Rights cannot exist in a world of no responsibility. If we want to advance the cause of our second amendment rights, we must be willing to learn, practice, and educate others about safety.
This includes promotional photo-ops. Do not take pictures that show bad body form or bad gun safety. Do not casually put your finger on the trigger. The only time it is OK to put your finger on the trigger is when you are *actually* ready to shoot. Except for some loonies who want to ban every single butter knife as an assault weapon, I believe most people are actually pretty close to a consensus. However, there is no time to rest easy. Learn about proper gun safety. Talk to your friends and neighbors about proper gun safety as well.
